Perimeter protection encompasses a range of more peripheral and complementary products, such as security cages, bollards, road blockers, and more. ABAS Protect markets these products as well, in order to offer a comprehensive asortment.
Fence alarm
Electric fence alarm in standard configuration is mounted on fence and gates regardless of type and security level. The alarm consists of one 7 kV high voltage part, and one 12 V low voltage part.
The low voltage part may be sectionalized to define a localization service grid. Signals from the alarm control system may be further processed by cameras. The high voltage part can be switched off at daytime to facilitate investigation of detected sabotage.
The fence alarm is set off whenever a wire breaks, when high and low voltage parts are in contact, or when there is ground contact. The alarm is designed for Nordic climatic conditions, and the alarm analyer compensates for snow, ice, and fog. The fence alarm is mounted in compliance with SS-EN 60335 norm, and is approved for installation in Sweden.

Access control systems
Access control systems basically consist of one or several networked card readers, administrated from a computer. The system can be used to determine who will have access to which gates and doors at what time. Access control systems are journaled, to facilitate inspection of passages.
ABAS Protect offers access control systems of varying complexity, from single card readers in gates to more advanced systems spanning a number of gates and doors at different facilities and locations, all of which must operate and be controlled in concert.
Access control systems are highly modular, making it possible to upgrade basic solutions while keeping already existing components.
Security cages
ABAS Protect manufactures security cages for various applications. Size, shape and design are determined by customer preference. Examples include smoking cabins at correctional facilities, and storage of valuable goods at terminals. Security cages may be equipped with doors, locks and alarms in various security classes.
Stage truss
ABAS Protect has developed a stage truss for easy access to roofs, cisterns and similar locations. The truss has a gap in the bottom, with a bracket for a class 4 padlock. The exterior of the truss is covered in expanded metal, preventing unauthorized personnel from climbing on the truss. The truss may be equipped with a swivel boom crane and associated winch to facilitate hoisting heavy-duty equpiment onto roof tops.
Road blockers
ABAS Protect can offer sturdy road blockers for efficient blocking of heavy vehicles at high security installations such as nuclear power plants, embassies, military bases etc. The road blocker is pulled up from beneath the pavement to prevent passage, and is lowered after clearance.
Road blockers are offered in heights 340-1160 mm and widths 2000-4000 mm. The drive is hydraulic, with opening times in the interval 2-5 seconds. Material in hot-dip galvanized steel and powder coating. Accessories include strobe light, rotating beacons, traffic lights, audio signal, radio control, GSM controller, inductive loop, timer and emergency fast operation.
