ABAS Protect offers a complete asortment of motorized boom barriers, with boom lengths ranging from 2–12 m, reliable and robust design, and an advanced control system for any type of boom application.
Booms have a sturdy and reliable design tailor-made for Nordic climatic conditions. Housing and hood are made of aluminum with white (RAL 9010) and light blue (RAL 5012) powder coating in standard configuration; any RAL color may be used. Mechanical parts are either hot-dip galvanized, or chromate conversion coated.
Booms are controlled through signals from access control systems, key control devices and similar installations. Booms may also be operated with radio control or with internal timer.
Boom barrier systems are normally equipped with loop detectors to prevent lowering of the boom when a vehicle is present in the operating area. Booms may optionally also be equipped with photocells. Closing force control ensures the boom will reverse automatically whenever hitting a vehicle. The bottom part of the boom also has a shock-absorbing rubber tube to minimise impact damage.
