ABAS Protect AB has secured the intellectual property rights for a range of product details at the Swedish patent and registration office. As a market leader and developer of new designs in the perimeter protection sector, the company must vigorously protect internally developed products from plagiarism and other infringement of intellectual property rights. Some protection applies automatically for a limited period, although formal registration provides stronger protection for a much longer time.
A couple of products recently registered are: ABAS Protect’s unique fitting lock frame for preschool gates, and also ABAS Protect’s special clamp for fastening of Pronet welded fence panels. The lock frame of stainless steel exists in two variants, for combinations of posts 40/40 mm and 40/70 mm respectively, in a strong and lightweight design that brings great benefits compared to older and bulkier designs. The fitting lock also has built-in tilt protection for increased security. ABAS Protect’s galvanized Pronet clamp has a special countersink structure which makes it ideal as a fastener for welded panels.
